| MICA, A MUSTANG
is a moving, true story about a young wild mustang rescued in Wyoming
and adopted into a small Colorado ranch home. It is the only
children's book available about this special group of horses
whose immediate future and valuable legacy is endangered; Mica's story
will charm youngsters but also lend an awareness of these splendid
animals. National attention continues to escalate re the plight of Wyoming's wild horses.
Carol Walker is the
professional photographer for the project; she has strong ties to the
Cloud Foundation and other wild horse advocacy groups. She has also
published several wonderful adult photography books including WILD HOOFBEATS: America's Vanishing
Wild Horses (Ben Franklin
Finalist, Eric Hoffer Award, Indie Excellence and others). and HORSE PHOTOGRAPHY: The Dynamic Guide
for Horse Lovers. Judy Walker
(no family relation to Carol!) is a published author, attorney and
fundraiser who has been interested in Wyoming’s wild horses since childhood.
She vacations in Pinedale, WY. and resides in Denver, CO.
